We're really into this range from Yu Kurosaki, with his trademark offset blade and kurouchi tip they look the part from the offset. A closer look reveals a subtle Nashiji finished Mira (flat side of the knife) and a more refined Kireha (blade road - ground towards the cutting edge). It feels great in the hand and performs beautifully.

Made from Takefu's new XEOS stainless steel, which, is said to  be "A new steel grade that heralds the dawn of a new stage in cutlery, developed to combine corrosion resistance and hardness" closer approximating the benefits of a high grade carbon steel.

The petty is a knife which hovers around the size of something equivalent to a western paring/ utility knife. Essentially it’s a nice, nimble, small knife which is an invaluable addition to anyones knife roll.

Yu Kurosaki, working from his forge in the Takefu Knife Village, is the youngest knife maker ever awarded the title of “master blacksmith”. He makes some stunning knives, for which there is huge worldwide demand, so we're thrilled to be able to offer them at Community Cutlery.
